We'll break down the back handspring and drill each part!
Students will learn:- The basics of the back Handspring, including the four phases: Entry (1-3), Flight (4), Impact (5-6), and Exit (7-9).
- Each phase will be broken down with mats and drills, so that the students will find success with each part, to strength the eventual whole.
- Students will earn and do drills for each phase of the back handspring and learn some drills and exercises that can be practiced, safely, at home
- This clinic will benefit the beginner student who has just started their back handspring, the student who is close, and the student who is throwing their back handspring.
- Those students, who are already throwing their back handspring by themselves, will be concentration on their form and working towards the round-off back handspring connection and round-off, two handsprings.
**Depending on the number of students that sign up, students will be broken into groups based on ability and knowledge of skills, to get the most out of the two hours. *If less than 5 students sign up the two-hour time may be shortened to 1 hour.
Cost: $20.00 current class members, $25.00 non-members

Please Note: Two hours is not enough time for a beginner to learn and perfect any gymnastics skill. This class is to teach the Back Handspring in a correct and safe manner. CGA recommends regular gymnastics and/or tumbling classes to continue the process towards learning and perfecting the Back Handspring.
